How Long Does Google AdSense Final Review Take?

After submitting your Google AdSense application, many publishers see the status "We are reviewing your site" for an extended period. Even after submitting forms via the official help center, the status may remain unchanged. This is part of the normal final review process.

Standard Review Time

According to Google's official information and publisher experience, the final review of an AdSense account typically takes 1 to 2 weeks. In most cases, if your website content is compliant and adheres to policies, the review completes within about a week.

Review time may be extended due to:

  • High application volume: Peaks (e.g., end of quarter, after new product launches) can lengthen the review queue.
  • Complex website content: Content in specific niches (finance, health, adult-content edges) or complex site structures may require more detailed manual review.
  • Incomplete information or need for clarification: If the review team has questions about site ownership, content sources, or contact details, the review may pause until you respond.

What Does "Reviewing Your Site" Status Mean?

This status indicates your application has passed initial automated checks (site accessibility, basic policy compliance) and is in the manual review queue. This is a necessary step for final approval. It is normal for the status to remain unchanged during this period; it does not mean your application is stalled or rejected.

What If the Wait Exceeds 2 Weeks?

If your application status hasn't updated after more than 2 weeks (10-14 business days), consider these steps:

  1. Check your email again: Including spam folder, for any requests for additional information from the AdSense team.
  2. Ensure full website compliance: Avoid major changes during the wait that could violate policies (e.g., adding large amounts of non-original content, suspicious pop-ups).
  3. Query via official channels: Visit the Google AdSense Help Center and use the "Contact the Support Team" form to politely inquire about your application status. Provide your publisher ID and application date.

Important Notes

Please be patient. Avoid repeatedly submitting applications or frequently contacting support in a short time. This does not speed up the review and may delay processing by creating duplicate tickets. Ensure your site meets all AdSense Program Policies and has high-quality original content. This is key to a smooth approval.

Once approved, you'll receive an email notification and your AdSense status will update to "Approved." You can then start displaying ads and generating revenue.
